Updates, Updates, Updates!

I just wanted to let everyone know what I have been updating From Pin to Life to catch up from my vacation and soon to be Thanksgiving Holiday.

I’ve updated some old posts with more or better images and I’ve also posted some new “Pins to Life” that I’ve done over the last week.

Also, during my little hiatus, I updated my personal blog with some fun things my husband and I saw and ate while on vacation.  We also went on some Ziplines and I created a video of our fun.  If you want to check that out, you can go to my personal blog The Daily Flex.

Plastic Bag Organizer

Another one of my favorite things I’ve made from Pinterest is a plastic bag container which also teaches you how to roll the bags to be easily removed.  Once I saw this, I pulled out the massive amount of plastic bags I save and sorted them by store (yes, I’m that OCD) and started creating a roll of plastic bags from each store.  The original blog has great directions on how to roll the plastic bags (see link below).

Here is what my rolled bags looked like:

I didn’t count how many bags I rolled, instead I just measured by holding the rolled bags up to the opening of my empty container to see if they would fit.  I used an old Seventh Generation disinfecting wipes container, which are smaller than the Lysol containers.

Then, I began to decorate the outside of the container.  I measured the label from top to bottom to cut a sheet of scrapbook paper the same width.  I used a 12×12 piece of paper and used double-sided tape to adhere the paper to the container.  I did NOT remove the original label, instead I just covered it with the paper.

Then I decided to make a label for the container and use some more scrapbook supplies. I measured the longer width of the container and cut another sheet of scrapbook paper and added some Thickers letters.  I used the white vinyl letters for the font and wrote out “plastic bags.”  I then used the double-sided tape to adhere the paper to the container.

And voila!  Here is what my plastic bag organizer looks like finished!  Love it!  Much better than a bunch of rolled up bags jammed into a cabinet.
